Greenfields is proud to be one of the first capsule coffee producers in Hue. Coffee capsules are becoming more and more popular thanks to their convenience. So what sets capsule coffee apart from phin filter coffee, ready-to-drink coffee and the like, and why is it so loved? Let's find out with Greenfields Coffee in the article below.

Capsule coffee, also known as coffee pods, is coffee roasted and ground to the right fineness for use with a brewing machine, then pressed into a 4-5cm plastic capsule and sealed with an aluminum foil lid.
It is used with dedicated capsule coffee machines to make a rich Espresso or Americano.
Capsule coffee has a fragrant, delicious flavor that meets the needs of most consumers.
- Convenient and many times faster than other methods.
- Low upfront cost, yet you can still enjoy a flavor close to a machine-made Espresso.
- A wide variety of flavors to suit your preferences, so you can easily switch up your taste every day.
- Consistent coffee quality because every capsule has the same weight.
- Keeps for a long time without worrying about moisture or mold, up to 1 year.
- You need a brewing machine; it cannot be made by hand.
- Each capsule is only compatible with one type of machine.
- The plastic casing is not very environmentally friendly.

Why does Robusta coffee produce a better crema than Arabica? Put simply: first, Robusta’s higher acid content gives it a better ability to form crema; second, Robusta has less oil, so its crema stays stable longer than an extraction made entirely from Arabica.

How to make a great espresso? What affects the crema of an espresso? Crema is mainly created by air (mostly CO2) in the coffee cells when brewed with a high-pressure coffee machine. It emulsifies the coffee oils in the extract – oil normally cannot dissolve in water, but under high pressure the oil droplets are broken down to microscopic size and can disperse in the water. This emulsion, combined with some CO2 gas, forms the crema foam we are talking about.
